The 6th REEF Wakefest is set to kick off again on 30th & 31st August at Kallang Riverside Park, and will feature the best local and regional wakeboarders from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Philippines and Thailand. REEF Wakefest is fusion of explosive wakeboarding action, heart pumping music and latest surf fashion. Professional Wakeboarders JD Webb and Tino Santori from the USA will make a guest appearance and put on a demonstration during the event. Top regional riders will be invited to compete in the Open Division which will include a SGD5,000.00 cash purse. There will also be event categories for athletes of all abilities with SGD5,000.00 worth of REEF product prizes to be won. REEF Wakefest 2008 will be be part of Waterfest Singapore 2008, an initiative of the Singapore Sports Council (SSC). WaterFest Singapore is currently Asia’s only international water sport festival offering a host of exciting local and international water and beach-side sports activities in water locales around Singapore.
